The Quiet Station. Wandering In Wingatui According to an on-line source Wingatu Railway Station is the second-best remaining island platform station. That claim seems a little loose if you ask me as no further parameters given. Second-best remaining where? In the South Island? In New Zealand? In stations starting with the letters M through to Z? No matter, it is a very nice station, and it was built for the opening of the Dunedin to Mosgiel railway line in 1875. with the existing building was constructed in 1914. #lovindunners #majesticdunedin #johncaswellnz #caswellimages #travelphotography #dunnerstunner #dunedinnz #wingatui #station #dunedinlife #dunedindaily Don’t forget to checkout the blog - https://blog.caswellimages.com/

All Creations That Stand A Walk In The Exchange The only problem with photographing this building is that it's current a late night adult entertainment venue. Meaning, you have to be careful photographing it otherwise you can look rather dodgy! In a previous life the building was the Union Bank and its grandness represent the prosperity associated with the gold rush in Otago which was reflected in the grand scale of many of the buildings that surround it in the Exchange. There's more from The Exchange on my blog.
