Puddles can be a wonderful source of subject matter for photographs, the only problem is that usually you need to get down really low to catch the reflections. I do like using textures in a photo, they're a lot of fun and it's easy to let your imagination go wide. This was an older photo I took one morning while travelling through Merton in East Otago.
